In all honesty, to me it does not matter where I am from, how I’ve
lived, what or where I studied? I don’t paint for my region,
I paint because I have to, basically, and in this habitat of
quick communication a picture can still speak. I am interested in
symbol and abstracts; to take an abstract idea or paint an abstract
form and intersect it with the figure and maybe convert the abstract into
a symbol. Together these elements, can express a feeling,
an action or nothing overtly.
We are visually bombarded daily and it makes me wonder. Are we losing something, are we jaded and distrust what we see?
